You may join and participate in the Louisiana Turfgrass Assoiciation in one of several ways.

  • Individual

  • Organization

  • Honorary

  • Donor

  • Affiliate


Individual membership shall include all who are actively engaged in or have supervision over turf development or maintenance in connection with their occupations.  This category includes turf production or management specialists with airfields, athletic facilities, cemeteries, golf courses, highway departments, lawn service agencies, sod producers, public parks, school playgrounds and recreation facilities and others.  Annual dues for individual members shall be $25.00



This category includes national and commercial concerns, dealers, suppliers, cemeteries, golf clubs, athletic facilities and, in short, all employers of those eligible for individual membership.  A minimum of $30 shall be charged for this category   Organizational memberships are entitled to two representatives for this fee.


Honorary memberships may be conferred upon lay people or scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the objectives of the Association.  Honorary members will be elected in a manner prescribed by the executive committee and will have all the usual privileges.


Donor memberships will include only those individuals or organizations who have donated to the Association not less than $200 for projects.  Such memberships will be annual and have all the usual privileges.


An affiliate member is a turf support person not making a profit from a turf sales, maintenance, establishment or product sales.  Annual dues are not required.  Applicants must submit an application statement to the LTA executive committee for review.
